Foxfire is the most prestigious academy for young elves in the Lost Cities. The school was named after glowing fungus, said to represent light in a dark world. Most elves attend Foxfire, unless they are banished by the Council, and sent to Exillium instead. Foxfire has 8 levels, including the elites, and in order to be in the nobility, you have to go through the elite levels. Additionally, all prodigy's that go to the elite levels have to manifest an ability. Sophie is a level two when the books start.
